A Day at the Arts

Gracie here. Okay, this was a pretty wacky week for me. Do you remember me having been covered in "you know what" a few days ago? Well, we thought that was going to be the last of it. We were wrong. When I went to school the next day, I waited all of one hour before I did the deed again. And again, the teacher called my mommy and daddy and said they had to come pick me up right away. So another early day at school, however this time it was not so pleasant. This time, I got kinda sick and would not eat or drink anything. This went on for a whole day. It was all I could do just to get some Pedialite down. (By the way, clear is my favorite kind). So on Saturday, it was get well day. I ended up sleeping almost all day, and to be honest, I think it helped. By Sunday, I was feeling much better and eating more. This was good, cause mommy, daddy and I went to visit my Aunt Pam and Uncle John. We had a good time. They got this new comdomiumdiamom ( I can never say that word). They live right on the water, so we got to watch the dolphins play, WAY COOL!!! After lunch, we went to the art festival where the pictures below were taken. It was cool, but my favorite part was the nap. You can see that I was enjoying it. Mommy and daddy met this really nice copper trumpet player and bum who agreed to have their picture taken.

So, that was my weekend. Tomorrow is another day at school, only this time I hope to not make such a mess. Wish me luck.

Oh yeah, my cousin's have set up their own webpage, so check them out at McInnish Bend.

Until next time,
Gracie

From Head to Toe!!!

Okay, so I am going to tell you something that I know will embarass me in years to come. But because I am committed to posterity, I must tell all.

So, daddy tells me that horror crawled down his spine when he gets the call from my school at 1100 in the morning telling him that I needed to be picked up post haste. Why did I need be picked up you ask? Okay, I will tell you. Sometimes babies do things that are a little messy, like throw power all over a room, drawing on the walls, splashing in the bath tub and so many other things that to mention would make mommies and daddies all over this blogashpere weep. So what did I do that caused a cry to be heard throughout my school? Well, because I don't want to be so graphic as to mentally scar my audience, lets just say I was a little "doo-doo head" today. Not sure what happened, but before I knew it, I was swimming in something that I should not ever be swimming in. I was covered head to toe in my last three or four meals, and it weren't pretty. Mommy and daddy raced to school only to find that the teachers did a great job giving me a bath in the little sink and getting me all cleaned up. When mommy and daddy showed up I was sleeping of my little evacuation off. The doctor said I was fine and that if anything, I may have a little bug. I can not go back to school until 1130 tomorrow due to the 24 hour rule. I think the rule is so that the teachers can get over the trauma, and I surely understand.

Okay, other than that, things are going well. I have been playing with mommy alot since she got home and it has been wonderful. I love playing with mommy. I attached a couple pictures of mommy and I having a good time. I am really trying hard to stand up on my own. You can see I am doing a pretty good job.

I have to go sleepy now. If I don't get to bed by 7:30, I am just miserable in the morning. Thanks for checking out how I am doing and please, if you have any respect for my dignity, please please please, do not tell anyone about my little accident today.

Gracie.

I am telling you, this standing thing is great....

But after a while, even that can wear me out

So I get cleaned up and all dried

And fall asleep on mommy.

Less Than 48 Hours

Mommy is less than 48 hours from giving me the biggest hug in the world. I can not wait!!! She called from Africa today and was telling me about the babies she visited in the orphanage. She said they were very little and cute. She got to feed one that is only 1 month old. She was so happy. Thanks again mommy for hanging out with those kids.

Daddy and I ran around today, enjoying the wonderful weather outside. This is a great time of the year to play outside. The sun was bright and there was a little breeze that made me happy. Daddy and I pretty much hung out today. Other than a trip to the mall and to get the car washed, it was just me and him playing. We even managed to get a nap for a couple hours. I felt very refreshed.

So, I now have four teeth. Two on the top and two on the bottom. You know what that means? Yup, I am just days away from my first Cheerio.... Whahooooooooo!!! Today, daddy got me some new foods that I have never had before. I can not wait to try them all. Officially I am on stage two foods, but I think in the next week or so, I will be eating what the other big kids eat, stage three.

Okay, I have to hit the hay. I get to go to church tomorrow. I am so excited.

Goodnight everyone.

Gracie

A Hi-Fi buff in the making..

I promise, I did not do it!!

Please Don't Send Me to Africa!!!

While the title is just a joke and and reminder of a song from years past, mommy actually enjoyed visiting one of the orphanages in Africa. She sure does have a heart for little children. Mommy said she had a great time with the kids and wants to visit them some more.

Thanks for being so nice to the kids mommy, I am sure they went to sleep happy that you spent time with them.

Gracie

Mommy and her new friends

I think this was right after they finished dancing.

A Perfect Fit!!

Well, as you can see from the picture below, daddy and I have the same size feet. I see this as nothing but problems for me in the future.

Mommy called today and said she was at an orphanage in Djibouti. She said she got to play with a bunch of kids that were a little lonely. She said they loved her hair and wanted to play with it the whole time. She also said that it was sad to leave them. She hopes to make it back one more time before leaving Africa. Speaking of leaving Africa, she is coming home in 5 days!!!! Yeahhhhhh!!!!

Today was a really good day. Daddy had to work a little later than normal, so me and Ms. Mary got to hang out for a while. She was teaching me how to clean all the toys so that when I shove them in my mouth tomorrow morning, they are not loaded with disease.

break break break...... Ryan Seacrest (American Idol) is a goob!!!

Okay, back to me. Daddy and I had to spend alot of time in traffic, so when we got home there was much less play time than normal. No worries, we had a good time with what little time we had. Daddy read me a book as I was trying to eat it. I got take a baffy and play with my water toys. I have this little star that I can not get my hands off of. Finally I got my boppy and because I was so tired, I didn't get as rowdy as I normally do. Now I am ready for bed as I again have to get up before the crickets do.

So, with that, I should go. I hope you enjoy the pictures and check back soon as I am going to show you some pictures of my mommy in Africa.

Goodnight,
Gracie

So how exactly do you expect me to tie these?

Me and my friend Kermit (I was telling him a secret before daddy started taking out picture!!!)

Alright, I have to finish my book. Daddy wants a book report in the morning!!!

Tuesday's are Tremendous!!

Well, last weekend daddy and I went to Jacksonville to visit my great-grandmother who is not feeling well. Daddy was telling me lots of stories about her that I will have to share with you someday, but until then know that my great-meema is one heck of a woman. I thought it was exciting to see her. I am so lucky to have met three out of four of my great-grandparents. The other one is still alive, but I have not met him yet.

Okay, Gracie is doing great. I went to visit daddy's friends at church on Sunday. Remind me to tell you about the roller coaster Debbie took me on while I was there. Anyway, daddy wanted me to tell you that I did really well at church and did not make hardly any noise. I just sat there, rather wiggled there and listened to a missionary from Germany.

The last couple days at school have been great. I am noted for moving all over the rooms and hiding under the cribs. Me and Jessica pretend it is a fort and don't let the boys in. My teacher says that I just sit there and giggle. The other thing that I am noted for doing is sitting on the opposite site of our little tunnel with Conner and chatting it up with him. I think he is cute, but he drools too much. Clean it up Conner.

So, I have another tooth popping through. This one is exciting cause when I can get it all the way out, I can have Cheerios, Wahooooooooo!!!!. Right now I am relegated to smashed carrots, peas, squash, and other such things. Come on toothy... get the lead out.

Okay, mommy is only a few days away now. Daddy is doing good and I love hanging out with him, but I miss the mommy smell, the mommy touch, the mommy sounds and the mommy silliness. Come back mommy, come back.

Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Gracie

Me and my friends (Kennedy, Oliva and Heath)

Bikes, Bikes, Bikes!!!

Mommy, please don't be mad at me for taking a couple days to write you in the blog. Daddy and I have been very busy these last couple days visiting my friends Kennedy, Oliva and Heath. They are all doing good and seemed happy that I came to visit them.

Today was the greatest. Me and Heath went on a bike ride together, Dutch of course!! You can see in the pictures that we rode in different bikes so that he would not flirt with me. He likes to do that. Actually, to be really honest, I like to flirt too. So we rode for almost 6 whole miles and it was so much fun!!! Daddy rode really fast a couple times so that I could feel the breeze. Way cool.

This morning I slept in all the way to 8:30. When I got up, I had some boppy and cereal and then played with Kennedy. She is getting so big and nothing has changed as far as her volume. I wonder why I am not as loud as she is, I am going try to be so stand by. Okay after that we went to Olivia's house so I can play with her and her brother, Heath. They are alot of fun to play with. Olivia is doing really good, but she has an ear infection in both ears! Bummer!!! Heath is just getting over being a little sick, but that doesn't seem to slow him down.

Okay, it is a little bit of a late night and I have to get some sleepy, so I will write more. My mommy is still in Africa and asked me to post some pictures for her to look at. As you can see, daddy was trying to teach me to ride my own bike. I did pretty good, we just went in circles. The other pictures are of me in my bie chariot and in Bruce's truck.

Okay, that is it for now. Make sure you check Heath's webpage as he did some updating. Kennedy also started one, but it is not filled up yet. I will let you know when she gets the led out.

Gracie

Look, I am riding a bike (my first time)

Oh my gosh, this is so much fun (and so easy)

See I told you I was having fun (the proof is in the smile)

Me and Heath about to go on a 6 mile bike ride

Okay, we are done riding, now I get to ride in the big truck, what a great trip

Watch Me Grow!!

Okay, kinda corny, but I thought this was cool. Look how much I have changed in 7 months. I was born at 8lbs, 5oz and 21.5 inches long. Now I am 19.5 lbs and 28 inches tall. WOW!!!!

1 Day Old

1 Month Old

2 Months Old

3 Months Old

4 Months Old

5 Months Old

6 Months Old

7 Months Old - NOW!!!

One Man's Furniture is Another Baby's Toy!!!

Okay, you will have to forgive the whole bunch of pictures I posted, but I was showing off and I wanted mommy to see me. I miss her so much. Don't get me wrong, daddy is doing great, but he does not have that mommy touch. You could say he is a little buncsious at times. For the most part I love it, but mommy just has a better way of getting me to calm down.

The last couple days have been pretty cool. A couple milestones that I should mention. First, I am taking my baffy in the big tub now. I love to play with the shower nozzle and having all that room is quite delightful. I am eating banannas now, and I love them. I figured out how to crawl through the coffee table, way cool!! (I love all the toys in the house that mommy and daddy call furniture) The only thing that I have to get used to now is the whole going to bed and it still being light outside. I think I even heard daddy mow the lawn AFTER I went to bed. Weird!!

Okay, I feel like Ihave writers block so I am going to go sleepy. Anyway, daddy's new favorite show, House, is on and he doesn't want to divide his time. Good grief.....

Okay, enjoy the pictures and have sweet dreams, I know I will.

Gracie

I can't help but smile when I think of mommy

I'm gunna get you daddy

Now this is the biggest toy I have so far....

You should know, this is completely unprovoked!!

See, I can make it all the way through... I love it....

This is just to prove to mommy that I am getting clean

Weekend wrap up - Just me and Dad!!!

Hello everyone...

Okay, we are on day two with mommy being gone and I must admit that I miss her very much!! She called today and said she made it safely to Djibouti, so lets just pray she does not get malaria.

So, daddy and I goofed and forgot to set the clocks forward today, thus our not being at church. I tried to tell daddy that he needed to do it before he went to bed, but like normal he did not listen to me. Good grief!! So instead of going to church, we played. We played "who can crawl the fastest", how long can I stand before I fall" and my favorite "how far can I crawl right after I eat before I puke!!" . For any mommies out there reading this, daddy did a good job with me today. He fed me my favorite foods, hooked me up with the boppy, made sure I took two good naps and ensured I am ready for bed before seven. Great job dad.

So, any milestones recently. Hmmmm let me see.. well I did sit in the shopping cart for the first time today. And as always, I was the most popular baby in Walmart. As best as I can tell, daddy has forsaken cooking while mommy is gone. He loaded up on box dinners like there was no tomorrow. Hey as long as I get the boppy (and maybe some applesauce, I really could care less.)

Okay, I have to go to bed and daddy needs to eats some cardboard. I will write more tomorrow.

Mommy I love you and miss you. Be safe and have fun. Daddy is doing okay, so don't worry.

Gracie

Look mommy, I am standing!!

Me and daddy watching T.V. (daddy please, I like this part!!!)

This is so much fun

Okay, it was a long day, I have to go sleepy now. Goodnight.

My First Parade!!!

Wahooooooo!!! What a day!! At 7 months old, I have officially participated in my very first parade. Yipeeeeee!!! You see, this month is Military Appreciation Month at my school. Why only one month you ask?... ask the Air Force :o(. Anyway, it was awesome. Today I got to wear a yellow and green outfit and ride shotgun in our "float" for the parade. I was the queen bee, in charge of my float. Mommy and daddy came to watch me in my debut performance, it was so coooool!! We went all the way around the block, and speaking of block, thank goodness I was wearing some sun block. It was so hot outside and my leggies were exposed. Mommy was smart though and made sure I was wearing a hat (notice all the other kids, they had hot heads!!!). Anyway, I had a great time and I loved the fact that mommy and daddy watched me.

Speaking of mommy; she flew to Djibouti today and I am a little sad. Make sure you say prayers for her that she doesn't get some Djibouti disease or something.

Daddy and I played for a while tonight, but to be honest, I was pretty tired. I ended up just grabbing something to eat and I am about to call it a night. Nothing like a little boppy and carrots to really get you in the mood for some shut eye. Since I am writing this before I go to bed (wink wink), I should make a prediction (for mommy's sake) that I took a good bath and daddy made sure all 2000 parts (and folds) got clean. I drank my whole boppy and got dressed like a good girl. Even though I am tired, I still played in my bed for a while; I sure love that monkey!!!

So, as I have to go to bed (cause, really I am not there already) I should sign off. I have nothing planned tomorrow, so we will see what happens.

Goodnight all, sweet dreams.
(Mommy, I love you)

Gracie
