Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas from Me (Gracie), Abby, Mommy and Daddy. We had a wonderful Christmas and I am very thankful for the stuff I got. Mommy and Daddy seem to know exactly the things I wanted and needed. My favorite thing I got is well, a toss up between my new bike and my new jeep. I will post a video soon of me taking my first driving lesson. As for the bike, I am alread popping wheelies and bunny hopping. Easy cheesy.

Abby had a good time too. I got her a new radio and she loved it. Mommy and daddy made a pizza and we had lots and lots of candy and ice cream. It rained all day and while I thought of complaining, I was already sad for the people that got hit by the tornados not too far from my house. So instead, we were all very thankful that we stayed safe and that the grass got lots of water.

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit yesterday and that was awesome. We got to play a whole bunch and go to Sonny's for lunch. I love chicken and "dip-dip" and Sonny's has the best "dip-dip" in town.

I promise to write another blog in the next couple days to really update you on how I have been growing up. Unfortunately, mommy and daddy have to get up early tomorrow and I am keeping them up with all this typing. I hope you can forgive me and enjoy the pictures and check out the video.

Goodnight and Merry Christmas,
Gracie

Not quite a month!!

Well, I have been told that I am slacking and I admit that while it has not been a whole month since I last updated you, it has been too long. Things are going pretty great these days. Abby, my little sister, is getting used to being a baby and is not crying near as much as she used to. Matter of fact, she is really good about sleeping at night and doesn't usually wake mommy or daddy up for a bottle. Since she has to get up for school so early, I guess mommy and daddy are beating her to the punch. That's right, she is going to school now. I think she has studies in napping, drooling, drinking, and cooing. So far she is passing all of her classes except for quantum physics. For some reason, she does not seem to grasp even the basic material. Oh well, I don't think I really got it my first go either.

I am doing good. I really like my school and my teachers are great. I even have some really good friends there that I look forward to seeing. Just ask dad, I talk about them all the time.

We had a pretty good weekend, but to say we did major cool stuff would be telling a lie and I learned in my new bible that I am not supposed to tell lies. Anyway, Abby is not feeling super well and with it being a bit chilly out this weekend, we opted to stay in as much as possible. Except for the critical runs to BJ's and Target, we managed to find enough to do in the house to stay sane. One of the things we did is put up the Christmas tree. I know, we are at least a week early. I tried to tell mommy and daddy, but they would not see it my way. Mommy really wanted to do it and daddy actually said to wait. As you can see, mommy won. (Dad said no outside lights until next week!!) So after church (which was really good today) I took a nap and let mom and dad do the hard parts. Then I got up and made it pretty. I find that making things pretty is rather easy for me.

Anyway, that was about it for the weekend. Abby seemed to get a bit better, but she still has a runny nose.

Oh yeah, mommy started her new job and she really likes it.

Well, I have to go to bed now. I have to get up early so I can help daddy get Abby to school.

Goodnight,
The Manchi

I know you can't tell, but this is when i went to the zoo....

See, Abby went too....

This is one of my school pictures... I know my hair is a bit frizzy, but they got us right after we were playing outside

I tried to tell mom we were supposed to wait another week but she would not listen!!

My new Friends from Colorado

Yesterday was a totally awesome day. First we went to a cool art festival down the street. There were so many pretty things there. Mommy and daddy got me an apron for when I am drawing on my marker board. It is really neat. After that, we went to go test drive a new car, but mommy and daddy really did not like it all that much. I really liked it, but they said something about no leg room in the back. I don't really understand what that means, but I still like it.

After we got home, mommy's friends from Colorado came all the way over to our house to visit. They have two boys, Robbie and Danny and I thought they were very cool. We played outside for a long time and it was fun. I like kicking the ball around and chasing the lizards (but don't ask me to actually touch one.) They were very nice and dun to play with. Both of them run really fast and don't seem to be scared of anything. They even got me and Abby a present from Disney World.

Today, I went to a birthday party for Nicholas. It was at the park and I had a great time. I had cake and candy and got to play on the slides. This was Nicholas' first birthday party and all the kids had a good time (there was a ton of kids!!).

After the party I took a much needed nap before heading out again to look at cars. I am not sure what is going on, but it looks like we are going to be getting a minivan before too long. I like them because they are really big and have a tv. Mommy and daddy keep going on about leg room and storage and fuel economy, of which none makes any sense. All I know is it is pretty and looks like it goes really fast. Life is a highway, I want to ride it, all night long.

Okay, I have had a pretty action packed weekend and I have to get my rest. I hope you enjoy the pictures. I will make sure that daddy gets more of Abby on here.

goodnight,

Gracie

Look mom, I can do a split

Okay boys, which one of you thinks you can get this from me?

Not sure what just happened, but I think it was funny

Ahhh, quite refreshing.... a girl hard at play demands the best in sippy cups.

This is my friend Danny, he got me a present and I loved it a whole bunch... Thank you Danny

That is my mommy and Abby next to my mommy's friend Pam. She is very nice.

I am going to get you

Robbie and Danny getting one more lizards before they head back to Colorado

Abby is looking at the boys wondering why boys are so weird.

Okay, that is it... everybody left and I have to go inside now. I hope you enjoyed the pictures.

Thank you Granny

So I get this package the other day and I was very excited because it was from my Granny. It was sooooo cool cause it had all kinds of glamour clothes in them. You can see from the pictures that I am showing off the skirts and shoes and magic wands. I also got some earings and princess crowns. I love them so much. thank you Granny

And I even got them on the right feet.

Abby is 8 weeks old

Abby is 8 weeks old now, but in a week she will be two months old.

I don't want you to think that we have not been taking pictures over these last couple months I have not been on the blog, we have. Unfortunately I can not describe how busy we have been. I have been going to school every day except for Saturday and Sundays and by the time I get home I am so busy getting ready for dinner and my bath or shower. Depends on the day which one is my favorite. Anyway, now that Abby is in the picture (and a beautiful picture it is) we seem to be all over the place until it is bedtime. So I have not been on the computer much lately to update you.

Things are so much more busy with a baby in the house. Abby is still very little and likes to have mommy and daddy hold her ALL THE TIME!!! I think she is playing them, but she she has a convincing cry that makes all of us stop what we are doing to try to get it to stop. So far, the last couple days have been better than the first 6 weeks. For those six weeks, she would cry all the time and nothing seemed to make her happy. Even when I would hold her and kiss her, she would cry. But now, she really only gets upset when she is hungry or tired. I think it is because mommy and daddy started to let her sleep in her own room. Since she has moved into her room she is sleeping all night. Even last night she slept for almost 11 hours straight. I loved it.

What else... okay mommy and daddy just need to get rid of the swing cause Abby wants nothing to do with it. It is sure to get her to cry if they even get close to it. As for the bouncer... well that is a bit better. Abby is starting to get more tummy time and is trying hard to figure her legs out. I think I was walking when I was two months old so I don't know why she is taking her time.

I am doing good. I am really working hard on my sentences. I pretty much can say a full sentence getting all the parts right, for the most part. I love to sing and my favorite song is Twinkle Twinkle. I also like to sing Life is a Highway by Rascal Flatts. Colors are old school and it is pretty hard to stump me. Numbers and counting are my new task. I can count to ten sometimes, but I am not sure if I really know what I am doing.

I am working really hard to learn my manners and am starting to get the whole yes ma'am no sir thing. Sometimes I surprise my mommy and daddy by saying withough being prompted. I also say thank you and your welcome, but again I like a reminder every now and then. As for dinner time, well I am as messy as ever, but before each meal I like to pray so leave me alone about the mess dad.

I am good about brushing my teeth and like to have a water before bed, if not for the hydration but the chance to dunk it in the sink.

I am not quite there as far as potty training, but give me a few more months and I think that will change. Don't count me out yet.

Okay.. well, mommy just got home so I need to get to bed. Oh, speaking of mommy... she is just wonderful. If it wasn't for her, who knows how messed up I would be.

Goodnight.
Gracie (and Abigail, buut she can't talk yet)

In my favorite place

My sister, Abigail, is not sure what is going on.

But I am an old hand at this!! Abby, watch what I do

First you have to look really dainty

The do somethig really smart

And be a good helper..like me when I hold you for mommy

Yeah... now you are getting the idea

Okay, that is taking it way to far.....

What, you think this is easy??

Alright, Alright... you are taking up too much of the spotlight!!

Okay.. that is better... back to me.
