Moving and Facing Forward

Hello everyone,

So, it has been a little while since I last wrote. Sorry to all of you who are waited with bated breath for my gum drops of wisdom to post.

This past week has been splendiferous, with a capital SPLEN!!! On the weekend, mommy, daddy and I went to the Strawberry Festival where I saw so many wonderful things. There were these really neat looking rides, and games and STRAWBERRIES everywhere. It was so fun. On Sunday, we went to church and to a park. I attached some pictures of us from the park.

So, there are several milestones that I should tell you about. First of all, I went to the doctor and found out that I am 18 pounds and 27 inches long. At 6 months, I am told I am a little taller than normal babies. But then, if you knew how tall my daddy is you would understand. I am also all caught up on my shots, much to my displeasure. All in all, I got a clean bill of health. More importantly though is the whole 27 inches. You know what happens at 27 inches? Yup, I am officially too big for my old carseat. So mommy and daddy took me to pick out a new one. I hope I was not too picky, but I got a really nice one that is sooooo comfortable. Now if I can convince mommy and daddy to let me face forward, that will be the day.

Speaking of facing forward, I sit in my stroller like the big kids do now. What a vantage point I have now!!! Shopping is more fun, walks in the park are more fun and simply being in the stroller is a pure delight.

Other milestones, well I am sitting up on my own now (mind you I have to get some help to get in the position). I am starting to get up on my knees more in preparation for a full crawl. I am eating lots of veggies, but I have to be honest... peas are the pits. The teeth count is still at two, but they are two cute teeth.

School is going well, and I really love my new class. The teachers are very nice and I have made some cool friends. I am sleeping better during the day and still sleeping through the night. My days of getting really grumpy at night are being replaced with happy play time.

This weekend we are going back to the Strawberry Festival to see Michael W. Smith. We are also going to a friends house to do some cooking out. I wonder what grilled boppy tastes like?

Okay, I have to go to bed. I have some thinking to do. My mommy's birthday is on Friday and I have no idea what I am going to get her. Any ideas?

Goodnight,
Gracie
