~ Gracieland and Abbyville ~ A Beautiful Intersection: My trip to Sarasota

Well you will have to forgive me if the blog does not work as well as before. Unfortunately, the program I use to easily send pics of me and Abby to the blog is no longer working. Oh well. At least I was able to get these out for you to see.

So far we are having a great weekend. We went to Sarasota and walked on the beach. I loved it and really did not want to leave. Abby seemed to really have a good time too, but she did not get to walk on the beach like I did. After the walk, I got to go eat dinner at the Columbia and then get some ice cream. WOW!!!!

Abby and I have been doing really great. I love being a big sister and I think Abby has warmed to being the youngest. I take care of her all the time and am very protective. There is this boy that likes to mess with her at school and as long as i am there (which is only a few minutes) he stays far away. I can not wait until Abby and I can hang out at school together.

The big news for Abby is that she is showing her firts tooth!!! Not long now before she can be a good chomper like me. You have to check out my blog entry a couple years ago when I first had teeth (http://gracieland.blogspot.com/2005/01/my-new-friends.html). What is really funny is that Abby is exactly the same age as I was (almost to the day!!!) of when I first showed my teeth. I think that is a trip, but I am easlily humored. I will have to check out my entries back then to see what Abby is going to do next. I know she smiles a whole bunch and is really trying hard to sit up by herself (she still has a way to go). One thing that should be noted... Abby REALLY loves to play with the bouncy ball and really starts to crack up when she watches me and mommy or daddy bounce the ball back and forth. I will have to get daddy to record it one day cause it is unbelievable.

I am doing really good. My vocabulary is really taking off and I am almost using as many words as dad on any given day. I got to see hot air balloons today and I thought that was just awesome. They were flying really low over our house. What was really cool about it was that I was just in the room watching Higglytown Heroes and they were flying in hot air balloons.

Mommy and daddy are also really proud of me cause I am sleeping in my big bed and not falling out any more. I am also using the potty more, but not quite sure if I am ready to abandon the diapers. I am trying really hard to be polite and use my manners but sometimes the two year old in me takes over and I get a bit more demaning. Mom and dad are not so hard on me about it, but I can tell I want to get better.

This weekend still has a couple days left as Monday is a holiday. I think I am going to church tomorrow and then maybe head out to the Extreme Makeover Home Edition site to watch the reveal. You can check it all out here - http://snap.tbo.com/pages/gallery.php?gallery=309465
