What a Long Dry Spell!!!

Oh my goodness, can you believe it has been so long since I have been on the computer. Well, without dragging this entry out forever, I will simply say it has been a very busy month. Since Christmas, it seems like we have been non-stop trying to get things ready for my granny and aunt Alex to come live with us for a while. Since daddy had to turn the office into a bedroom, I lost access to the computer (and I guess daddy lost the camera for a while, thus so few pictures this month). Well, things are back together for the most part and I can get back to updating you on my growing.

So where do I start. First of all, I have been doing a ton of growing since Christmas. For starters, I can drink from a cup and not need a lid. O grape juice days you can see mommy and daddy get very nervous. Also in the eating department, I am much better at feeding myself. Matter of fact, I much prefer to sit at my own little table and handle the spoon and fork myself. I am learning to like all kinds of new foods now that granny is cooking some for us. She is really good and I don't have to have hamburger helper so often these days.

What else have I been up to. Well, I am really trying hard to talk. I can call mommy and daddy by name and even say (and understand) airplane, moon, apples, banana, pooh (as in Winnie the), light, truck, bird and of course... no!!! I can make the sounds of a doggy, kitty cat, lion and bird. I can hear an airplane and put my arms out like I am flying.

I am pretty darn mobile these days as walking and running are quite easy. My new task is to master the jump. Right now I can wind up and get real low, but no matter how hard I try my feet never leave the ground. So far, dad has met me half way and lifted me in the air.

Also, along with my mobility, dexterity has also been improving. So all those door handles in the house that just have to be pulled down, well they are no match. Daddy caught me opening the front door the other day. Can you say "really high dead-bolt".

Like I said, my granny and aunt are living with us for a while. It is really cool. They are so much fun to be with and we eat so much better. Alex is going to high school and is learning to like it. I like to mess with her when she is doing her homework. Granny sometimes gives me a bath so that mommy and daddy can go out. I think they really like that.

Enough about me, there is other news in the house. You can probably tell from the pictures below that I am running out of days of being the only kid in the house. Mommy and daddy are telling me that a baby is growing in my mommy's tummy and that one day I will be able to play with it. This make absolutely no sense to me and I think they are loony birds. But anyway, whatever happens that lets me have someone to play with when I am not at school is cool by me. Right now, it doesn't look like there is much to play with but we will see. Mommy calls it a meatball, I think that is weird because I love to eat meatballs for dinner and while they are fun to play with, I just think it is weird. So, if you get a moment, please say a prayer that I have something more than a meatball to play with in August, which is when mommy and daddy says it will be ready.

Other news, let's see.....daddy has to go somewhere oversees for a long time and I am going to miss him. He is not telling me where, but I think it is going to be too far for me to play with him everyday. Oh well, I will just have to ask mommy to let me get on the computer more often so I can send him pictures of me playing. I think he will really like that. If you get another moment to pray, please think of him while he is gone, and also pray that my mommy does not get too lonely.

Okay, I know this entry does not make up for being absent for so long. I promise to do better now that everything is in order. I will show you some before and after pictures of the office to prove that we have been way too busy to be on the computer.
