No Sharks Here!!!

I just wanted to show you that even though there have been stories of sharks in the water, I am not afraid. Below are some pictures of me when mommy and daddy took me to Fort DeSoto beach in St. Petersburg. It is supposed to be listed in a book as the nicest beach in the whole wide world, but by the look on mommy and daddy's faces after the really long walk just to get to the sand, I am sure there are better ones out there.

We have had a great couple weeks, so great that I have not had a chance to post more in the blog. The truth of the matter is that my office (sorry daddy) was taken over by all the other furniture in the house while people came a changed things around. It has been very busy here, but it looks like things are slowing down (ahh who am I kidding).

I have been doing well. I just turned 10 months old the other day. No Pomp and Circumstance to usher in this milestone, just another day at school. I hear though that mommy is planning a party for my first birthday (don't tell her I know, I think it is a surprise). Anyway, for my ten month birthday I wore shoes for the first time. I will try to remember to send you a picture of me in them in another post. Mommy and daddy were pretty aprehensive about putting them on me, but my teachers encouraged them to because I like to move really fast at school and sometimes I slip. So far, I seem to be doing fine in them.

Let's see, what else am I up to. I am really getting the hang of eating, but like tonight most nights are pretty messy. My teacher says that I have very good manners at the table (never seen by my parents). I am eating pretty much anything that has been killed, including little bugs and such that I find on the floor. My favorite food is chicken, closely followed by sweet potatoes (and I mean very closely followed, like it better be the next bite). I also like peas and green beans a whole bunch, but if you give me smashed taters, I am going to spit them back out -- YUKKKKK!!!

I am making a ton of noise these days, but so far nothing is making too much sense to mommy and daddy. They think that everything I say is about them, when really it is not. It usually has something to do with my diaper, tummy or sleepy eyes. Oh well, parents, can't live with them and can't get a boppy without them.

Speaking of boppy, I am so excited about getting real milk in a couple months. Daddy was saying something about the day that I am done with the formula, he is going to try to kill off the second mortgage required to pay for all of it. I just think the real deal has been a long time-a coming.

Okay, I know it has been a while, but I also know most people have not read this far anyway. So with that, have a great night. I have to go to sleep so that I can go play with my friends tomorrow.

Goodnight,
Gracie

Between thunder storms, this is where you can find me.

Okay, this is getting me just a little too dirty (can you imagine my diaper right now!!!)

Okay dad, I am done.... this is way too much sand in my pants....

Uh, hey you... I think there is something in your nose!!

Yup, still seven of them....

Now this is what I am talking about....
