I am not feeling very well today, so I should keep this pretty short. Everything was going pretty well until last night when I noticed I was coughing and sneezing more than normal. I thought it was probably due to the fact that daddy refuses to spend money on heat and keeps the house an icebox (actually, my room is pretty warm). Anyway, I woke up this morning and felt so bad. I had a hard time mustering a smile for mommy, as I always do. My nose is so runny and my eyes were puffy. It was pitiful. Mommy took my temperature and it read 101 degrees. Needless to say, I was on my way to the doctor. The doc looked at me and said, on top of being the most adorable baby in the world, I had an ear infection. Bummer!!! She gave me some medicine and homeward bound mommy and I were.
Once we got home, I just started to feel worse and worse. I kept trying to sleep, but couldn't. I wanted to cry, but that was bothering me. I wanted to lay on my mommy, but all this stuff coming out of my nose was frustrating me. I tried to eat, but even that was no fun. Oh yeah, on top of all this, mommy gave me carrots for the first time today. Talk about trauma squared.
The coolest part of the day, was when daddy came home from work early. He held me alot, just like mommy did and that made me happy.
So now I am getting ready for bed and the most traumatic thing has just happened to me. You see, we have three thermometers that mommy and daddy use to check under my arm for a fever. None of them were reading the same thing. The most I had on one of them was 102, pretty high, huh? So what did they do? Yup you guessed it, they jammed that thermometer thingy up my butt. Whaooooooooooo!!!!! Whose bright idea was this? All I can say is NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
Well, I have to go to bed. I hope I am able to sleep through the night. Wish me luck.
Gracie

Hi Gracie,
I hope your medicine is working and you're feeling a little better. Being sick is no fun but you do get extra cuddles! You'll be better soon.
Hugs and kisses....Linda
Forgot to tell you Gracie....the carrots are OK but just between you and me don't eat anything from the jars that say "green beans" or "peas" even if Mom and Dad try to mix them with the peaches!
Love, Linda
